The most dangerous road in the world or better known as the DEATH ROAD, one of the most popular places to do a mountain bike ride in the world.
This unforgettable experience begins above the clouds almost touching the sky at 4,670 meters above sea level, showing us an incredible scenic variety and a spectacular descent of more than 3,600 m / 11,800 feet, from the snow-covered high-altitude plains and the mountain ranges where you can see a series of snow-covered peaks, such as Huayna Potosí (6,088 m / 19,973 ft). From here we descend quickly along a winding asphalted road between mountain peaks until we reach a drug control post. Where we stop to have a drink, take photos and take a break on the road, so much better to give us time to contemplate the landscape of imposing cliffs, spectacular falls of waterfalls, small streams and ever greener vegetation … while We prepare for the next awesome section. After a snack, we continue the descent, and after a short wavy stretch of the road, we enter the jungle itself and in the most difficult part of the route. We come to the road of death … and this road is dirt and narrow to our left huge overhanging rocks and waterfalls to our right, we move through the fog, the low cloud and the dust(Note that, since December 6, 2006, most of the traffic has stopped driving on this road, and now driving through the new.
Road leaving the road for us to enjoy without facing many trucks, buses and cars for our safety).
With your positive attitude and our expert instruction, the right equipment, training and supervision, you can safely enjoy some of the most spectacular, beautiful and dangerous landscapes of South America as you progress along the way.
As we approach the end of the trip, it becomes increasingly hotter and dustier flatter and less dangerous, however, our experience makes us offer a small stretch of path (for the more experienced) that lasts more or less 15 minutes (7km) of pure adrenaline, When you reach the end of Yolosita (1,100 m / 3,600 ft) and have survived the death road, you will be tired, hot, dirty and excited after having descended 64 km of the road.
So at the end of the tour for your comfort we arrive at a hotel where we offer a lunch, showers, swimming pool, so you can rest and get comfortable after being a survivor on the death road.
After an hour and a half of rest and enjoy the scenery in the hotel of the place we go back to the city of LA PAZ on the new road.
